LUMBER YARDS SAWDUST SISTERS SOFTBALL LEAGUE

This league is designed for players who want to sharpen their skills, master the fundamentals, and truly learn how to play the game the right way. Led by our staff (current/former college players and coaches, the players will gain insider knowledge and elite experience. all in a high-energy, fun environment! Throughout the season, we’ll dive into the mechanical, physical, and mental sides of baseball through dynamic practices and live gameplay. Between our top-tier facilities, expert coaches, and proven training methods, this is a league experience like no other. Come play, learn, and grow with us! The goal of our development leagues will be learning the proper fundamentals needed to play softball. We will focus on mechanics, self-confidence and knowledge of the game in a fun environment. All games are coach pitch for instructional + developmental purposes. Players will be grouped by age.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Ages
    • 8yrs – 10yrs
    • 11yrs -12yrs
  • Girls Only
  • Games are played Monday between 5:30P – 7P.
  • All umpire fees covered
  • NO PRACTICES PROVIDED. Fields may be rented at a discounted rate for league participants. See Rental information page for more information.

LEAGUE POLICIES & RULES

Governing Rules

  • All games will follow Little League International rules unless otherwise noted below.

Game Time / Inning Completion

  • If time expires during an inning, the game will revert to the last fully completed inning.

  • Example: If the home team leads 1–0 and the away team scores two runs in the top half of the inning but the home team does not bat, the final score remains 1–0.

Base Running & Overthrows

  • Runners may advance one base only on overthrows or throwing errors.

  • For runners where no active play is being made, they must be at least three-quarters (¾) of the way to the next base at the time of the error to advance.

  • Example: A runner on second attempting to advance on a ground ball must be ¾ of the way to third to advance home on an error. If no attempt is made to advance, the runner may only take third base on the throwing error.

Foul Balls

  • Any ball that hits the fence or the black netting along the left or right side in foul territory is ruled a foul ball, even if caught.

Home Runs

  • Any ball hit over the yellow rope on the outfield fence is a home run.

Run Limit

  • Maximum of five (5) runs per inning, except in the case of a home run.

  • All runs scored on a home run will count.
