CLASS INFORMATION
Enrollment is always open and classes are prorated!
- The program is designed for ages 2 to 6 years of age
- Classes are once per week
- Mascots – Monday or Wednesday
- Minor – Tuesday or Thursday
- Majors – Monday or Wednesday
- Hall of Famers – Tuesday or Thursday

- The class curriculum takes the participants through skill building activities each week.

CLASS LEVELS & DESCRIPTIONS
Mascots: (Boys & Girls; Ages 2 – 3 years of age)
The Mascots program is designed to introduce children to basic baseball concepts in a fun and engaging environment, while also reinforcing important social skills and teamwork. Parent/caregiver participation is required.
Program Objectives:

Base Recognition: Learn the layout of the bases and basic base-running concepts.

Hitting: Make consistent contact with the ball off the tee.

Throwing: Master proper motion and aim with a step-and-throw technique.

Fielding: Focus on using two hands, staying in front of the ball, and maintaining balance.

Hand-Eye Coordination & Balance: Develop essential motor skills for baseball and overall fitness.

Fitness & Agility: Improve overall athleticism through fun drills and activities.

Social Skills: Introduce teamwork, taking turns, following instructions, and cooperative play.
Minors: (Boys & Girls; Ages 3 – 4 years of age)
The Minors program is designed to build on children’s early baseball experience in a fun and engaging environment, while reinforcing the fundamentals of the game.
Program Objectives:

Base Running & Recognition: Develop simple base-running skills and understand base positions.

Hitting: Focus on proper stance and a level swing to make consistent contact off the tee; introduction to hitting from a pitch.

Throwing: Master proper mechanics with the point-step-throw technique for accuracy and power.

Fielding: Emphasize using two hands, staying in front of the ball, and maintaining balance.

Hand-Eye Coordination: Improve coordination to enhance overall baseball performance.

Game Understanding: Learn straightforward game situations, such as making plays to throw a runner out.

Fitness & Agility: Build athleticism through fun drills and activities.

Social Skills: Advance teamwork, taking turns, and following instructions.
Majors: (Boys & Girls; Ages 4 – 5 years of age)
The Majors program builds on the skills learned in earlier programs, offering slightly more technical instruction and introducing real game situations to further develop young players.
Program Objectives:

Base Running & Sliding: Learn proper techniques for running bases and sliding safely.

Hitting: Focus on proper stance, level swing, and follow-through off the tee; begin hitting from a coach-pitched ball.

Throwing: Master the point-step-throw technique for both distance and accuracy.

Fielding: Emphasize using two hands and staying in front of the ball.

Catching: Practice catching pop flies with two hands.

Game Situations: Understand various offensive and defensive scenarios.

Fitness & Agility: Improve overall athleticism through structured drills and exercises.
Hall of Famers: (Boys & Girls; Ages 5 – 6 years of age)
The Hall of Famers program is designed to help children continue refining their fundamental baseball skills while preparing them for the next level of participation in organized tee-ball.
Program Objectives:

Base Running & Recognition: Learn proper base-running techniques and understand base positions.

Hitting: Master the five steps of hitting with proper form, including full swing and hip rotation.

Throwing: Develop correct throwing mechanics with a focus on accuracy and distance.

Fielding: Practice proper technique, keeping the body in front of the ball and using a glove to field line drives and pop flies.

Catching: Improve catching skills, including pop flies and line drives.
-
Teamwork: Encourage cooperation, communication, and team play.
-
Game Situations: Understand offensive and defensive scenarios to make smart plays.
-
Fitness & Agility: Build overall athleticism, coordination, and speed through fun drills.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration
- No spaces in any class are guaranteed without payment, as full payments are due at the time of registration. All registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A non-refundable annual program enrollment fee of $10 is required for all participants registering for internal programs.
- Minimum of three children per class. If fewer than three are signed up after the third week, you will be required to choose another time or a refund if the class is canceled.
Trial Classes
- All first-time trial classes are free of charge.
- A waiver must be completed before stepping onto the field.
- Customers may only do trials in classes that have space available.

Refund Policy
- Refunds will ONLY be given if a class has been canceled.
- Refunds are not issued due to missed classes. If a child stops coming, a credit to the WLY may be issued, pending approval.
WHAT TO BRING
- Baseball gloves are strongly recommended.
- Comfortable athletic attire and shoes.
- A water bottle labeled with you child’s name.
PROGRAM POLICIES
Parents and Guardians
- Classes are not drop-off, a parent/guardian must be on-site during the class. For children under 4, parents may be permitted on the field with their child.
Behavior
- Dangerous, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviors will be dealt with case-by-case and could result in the loss of the privilege to participate. No refunds or credits will be issued if your child cannot participate due to negative behaviors.
Transfers
- Transfers within the same age group are permitted at any point in the session. All class transfers are dependent upon space availability.
Make-up Classes
- Make-ups are done on a space-available basis. Make-ups do not carry over into the next session. No refunds will be given for missed classes.
